Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor is an Irish professional mixed martial artist and professional boxer from Dublin, Ireland, known by the nickname The Notorious. He became one of the most influential and commercially successful athletes in combat sports through his striking style, promotional ability and championship runs in Cage Warriors and the UFC. McGregor won the Cage Warriors Featherweight and Lightweight titles before signing with the UFC in 2013. In the UFC, he captured the interim Featherweight Championship by defeating Chad Mendes in 2015, then became undisputed Featherweight Champion by knocking out Jose Aldo in 13 seconds at UFC 194, the fastest finish in UFC title fight history. In 2016, he defeated Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 to win the UFC Lightweight Championship and became the first fighter to hold UFC titles in two divisions at the same time. He also competed in a major professional boxing bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017. McGregor is associated with SBG Ireland and coach John Kavanagh.
